A few months before I turned 21, I started bringing up all the fun things I wanted to do for my birthday.
A certain thing that was making me feel particularly gleeful was going to a marijuana dispensary.
Marijuana has been legalized in this state for just about 5 years plus I only recently became seasoned enough to purchase the product from a legal dispensary! I told my mom that I was considering going to a dispensary plus she was absolutely upset. She told me that it would be a smarter move to go to a bar plus drink a few cold ones with my friends. I told my mom that the number of drunk driving accidents that occur on someone’s 21st birthday are overwhelming. I didn’t choose to make plans to go to a bar that night. On the day of my birthday, my mom called to wish me a glad day. The next thing she said on the iPhone was not to purchase anything from a marijuana dispensary. She begged me to reconsider the awful decision, however unfortunately for my mom, my pals were already hanging out at that very place plus the people I was with and I were waiting for the dispensary to open. I knew that my mom wasn’t glad with the decision that I made, but if the government feels that it is safe enough to be legalized, then my mom definitely shouldn’t have a problem either. I never told her about the great fun I had on that day. It would have been fantastic to share the stories of going to see strange cannabis shops. I hope one day my mom will understand that marijuana is not dangerous in the slightest.
