Indica strains make myself and others too tired for daytime use

Taking medication for PTSD is entirely frustrating! All of the meds that are prescribed by most physicians have varying side effects.

The most respected side effect of all of the PTSD medications I’ve tried over the years is sedation plus lethargy.

That basically means I have to drink more coffee than the normal person, but if I drink too much it’ll add to the underlying symptoms I’m trying to treat. A lot of the time PTSD causes anxiety, so you have to be genuinely careful when it comes to caffeine, but since it’s easy to make coffee stronger than you intend on certain occasions, I love dosing out with increments of caffeine pills, then i have inadvertently put too much coffee in my coffee maker before going to brew it. At least with the caffeine pills I can split them up into even increments. As you can imagine, I have to be careful medicating with cannabis for ptsd, and certain strains of cannabis are better than others, especially sativa strains for daytime use. Some of them are genuinely energizing without causing additional anxiety, and on top of that, it’s hard for myself and others to use indicas during the day without getting way too tired. I have to get work done plus I can’t just take a nap when I get tired from being high. If I use the right sativa strains, I can get all of the energy I need without falling asleep in the middle of the day. There are times where I will literally fall asleep laying upright in my chair without even realizing it. Cannabis is phenomenal for PTSD when you use it properly, however there are some people who swear by using Indica strains for ptsd, and perhaps these are people who work during the day plus can’t use cannabis until they get home in the evening.
