Is 420 really important?

When I first heard about 420, I couldn’t understand why it was so important.

No one I knew had any idea what the numbers 420 stood for. I heard some people say that at 4:20 marijuana smokers will light up as a sign of solidarity with other marijuana users. I have also heard that some people think 420 is the police code for marijuana use. I tried looking up 420 on the internet, but that didn’t really tell me anything, either. I’m not all that good when it comes to internet searching, but you would think I would have learned something. Then, a friend of mine told me that 420 was a buzzword that tells other smokers they are marijuana users. When I found this out, I started looking deeper into the 420 ‘celebration’ that I was hearing about. If 420 was just a gentle way of discerning whether you were a user, then why was there a 420 celebration. I had just moved to an area where I found out they actively celebrate 420, every year. I wanted to know if I went to the celebration, would I be made to use marijuana, or could I just get to know some people. I hadn’t used marijuana for almost ten years now, but that didn’t mean I was against the use. With states now allowing marijuana to be legal for medical and many of them now legalizing marijuana for recreational, I want to be prepared. It may be fun to go to a 420 celebration. I may meet up with some people I hadn’t seen in years.

Cannabis proves effective for my sister’s depression

Did you know that antidepressants sometimes make you further depressed? There are prescription pills available that are a risk for people with addictive personalities.

When my older sister was diagnosed with depression, my whole family was concerned for her health and future.

The last thing we wanted was to give her a pharmaceutical that she could potentially abuse. My sister has had problems with addiction to different substances since she was a teeenager. I did some research and found the perfect solution. Cannabis is proving to be a wonderful option for my sister. A lot of people have had success taking cannabis to treat stress and depression. Using cannabis is a more natural method. It is less addictive than any kind of prescription pill. It is impossible to overdose on marijuana. After qualifying for a legal cannabis prescription, it was quick and easy. The medical marijuana dispensary is modern, clean, secure and very professional. The budtenders are knowledgeable about the products. They were able to determine the right strain to treat my sibling’s symptoms. They helped him determine his preference for a consumption method. My sister is a smoker and wasn’t really interested in edibles. She likes to smoke flowers and enjoys the convenience of pre-rolls. Occasionally she will use cannabis oil for convenience and discretion. She tends toward indica strains that are higher in THC consent. She enjoys the effects. My sister has lessened her problems with depression and has become more positive. There were times during her life when just getting out of bed in the morning and dressing for work were nearly impossible for her. My sister just got promoted. She’s dating again. I see her for lunch with the family every weekend. I have seen firsthand that medical marijuana can improve quality of life.

Cannabis topicals lessen pain

I have been a gymnast nearly my whole life.

I started when I was just four years old.

I tumbled throughout high school and competed in college. I still use gymnastics as a workout as an adult. I suffered a couple injuries during college that have slowed me down as I’ve grown older. My left knee got twisted on a bad landing of an aerial cartwheel. It made it painful to stand or sit for long periods of time. Doing squats was painful. I also had shoulder problems because of all the back handsprings that I did. Sleeping was becoming a challenge due to my shoulder tensing up! Right after graduation, I needed to take time off from tumbling. I worried I would never be able to get back to the same level of skill and difficulty. My injuries were getting steadily more severe. I went for a massage, met with a chiropractor and scheduled an appointment with my doctor. None of it helped to alleviate my symptoms. When I finally tried medical marijuana, the results changed my life. Topicals have shown promise in treating chronic pain in patients. I was told I could put a cream or a patch on the inflamed area and notice fast results. It took a bit of effort to become a medical marijuana patient. After that, getting a topical wasn’t difficult at all. I now use a cannabis-infused balm on the injured areas every night and sometimes in the morning. The balm works to treat my knee and shoulder pain. The results have been amazing. I can now tumble the same as I did in school. I might be even better. I have hardly any pain. I like that I am using a natural treatment for my injuries. There are no side effects. I wish it hadn’t taken me this long to find cannabis topicals. They are just wonderful for alleviating chronic pain.

An alternative to smoking cannabis

My father was always a chain smoker. From when he was just 15 years old, he started smoking and he kept on until he died. He always smoked a pack of cigarettes daily. It was typical to see him with a cigarette burning between his lips. My dad died from lung cancer before he turned sixty years old. Because of this, I am very against smoking. I refuse to do anything that might damage my lungs. I have never smoked cigarettes or marijuana. I stayed away from both to protect my health. I know cannabis is not the same as smoking tobacco, but I am uncomfortable inhaling anything in my lungs. Then I started having troubles with anxiety. I suddenly felt shaky, sweaty and stressed in the mornings before work. It was steadily worsening to the point where getting in my car to go to work was difficult. I was reluctant to take anti-anxiety pills and become addicted to them. I had heard about the long-term side effects of the pharmaceuticals. Medical marijuana has shown lots of promise treating anxiety. I went to the closest cannabis dispensary and explained about how I didn’t want to smoke cannabis. I wanted something to treat my anxiety that won’t be a problem for my lungs. Thankfully the medical and recreational cannabis world offers a wide array of options. Marijuana is available in all sorts of consumption methods. I I use a mouth spray right before getting dressed for work to alleviate my anxiety. On especially hectic days, I munch on an edible with a high CBD content and a lower THC amount. It has a real lifesaver. I feel healthy and positive and can relax when I have access to my cannabis products.

Getting medical weed to treat menopause and sleeping concerns

I started suffering symptoms from menopause when I turned 50 years old.

It has been three years and I am still dealing with them.

The hot flashes are just nasty. Sleeping at night was downright rare. I just sweat to the point where I need to change my PJs. Even my sheets and pillowcases would end up damp. Following a hot flash, I would just shiver and freeze. I started researching online to look for something I could do to get rid of my menopause problems and sleeping challenges. I read that cannabis has shown to do both. Marijuana is proving effective at helping women to avoid the number and severity of hot flashes. The CBD in cannabis offsets the THC, helping to alleviate restlessness at night without that high sensation. My state only permits medical cannabis at this point. So I decided to look into what I needed to do to become a medical marijuana patient. I researched for several hours. From what I found, it seemed as if the majority of cases were for more extreme medical conditions such as cancer, glaucoma, PTSD, seizures or diabetes. There is also the possibility to treat anxiety, chronic pain, depression and sleeping conditions. I knew I had a good chance of getting my medical medical cannabis card. I just needed to explain to my doctor that I can’t sleep at night. I’ve seen that there is research showing the positive effects of cannabis on menopause symptoms. I am also willing to claim anything to get access to weed. I don’t care if I get high as long as I can sleep.

Enjoying cannabis on our honeymoon

When my new wife and I headed off on our honeymoon, we were stuck inside the borders of the United States due to COVID.

Traveling anywhere abroad just wasn’t an option.

At first, we were both bummed about missing the experience of a tropical island or European city. We worried our honeymoon wouldn’t be enjoyable. My future wife did a great job at finding a place where there were lots of things for us to do. The state we ended up choosing for our destination was just perfect. The weather was amazing. There were quite a few eating establishments still open and we even got to visit the beach a few times. One thing the state offered was cannabis dispensaries on nearly every corner. In our home state, medical marijuana is legal but not recreational products. We would need to get a card from a doctor in order to have access to legal weed. In our honeymoon destination we could just walk into a dispensary and get whatever we wanted to try. My wife and I hadn’t smoked weed since we graduated college. I wanted to try all different types of consumption methods. We browsed a selection of cannabis edibles, CBD oils, shatter, budder and cannabis-infused drinks. With so many bars, public areas, stores and theaters hard to get into due to the threat of the virus, we spent a lot of time in our hotel. My wife and I spent a fortune on a selection of cannabis products. We smoked, vaped and enjoyed our different cannabis products every day. She and I ended up super high quite a few nights in a row. It was a blast for us. Now we are back home. We both sort of wish we could get a medical marijuana prescription. We miss vaping cannabis and feeling good.

Cannabis treats acne successfully

I have constant issues with my skin. Acne showed when I turned 12 years old. The problem remained for years and years. I tried all different kinds of skincare products and regiments. I used astringent, lotions, soaps and spot treatments. Nothing worked to keep my skin clear. I changed my diet to eliminate greasy foods. I started washing my pillow cases twice per week. I frequently made appointments for facials to have my pores cleansed. I then read a blog online about the treatments of cannabis for sensitive skin. There are studies proving that acne can now be effectively treated with cannabis. Marijuana has properties that help alleviate inflammation and makes those red bumps disappear. Additionally the cannabis minimizes the level of sebum the body generates. Sebum is the oily waxy substance that blocks a pore and results in an acne flare up. I was not happy that cannabis as a skincare regime isn’t included under the legalized medical marijuana treatments. Patients need to have a medical condition a little more serious in order to qualify for legal weed. I am lucky to now live in a state that allows for access to recreational cannabis. As soon as I moved here, I went straight over to the local weed shop and bought a face cleanser, cream and cannabis oil to drop into my tea. I am successfully treating my acne. I haven’t enjoyed skin this clear since I was eleven years old. I look like a new person. woman. I have more confidence in social situations. I am more forceful at work. Using cannabis for acne was life changing for me. I am so happy and relieved. The products are all natural. The won’t harm my skin and they smell good as well

Getting medical cannabis card for insomnia

For the last five years I have had trouble sleeping.

I’ve tried everything to shut down my mind and fall asleep at night.

I upgraded my mattress and outfitted it with bamboo sheets. I added a special cooling gel pillow. I set up a sound machine and started working out for an hour every morning. I drank tea before bed. I was still extremely restless at night. I grew up and resided in the north for most of my life. The laws on cannabis there were terribly strict. My husband and I finally switched to the snowbird lifestyle, spending our winters down south. I suddenly realized that I could get access to legal marijuana quite easily. I immediately changed my address. I became a southern resident so I could get a cannabis card. I followed through with the whole process and received a medical marijuana card to treat insomnia. The doctor’s appointment, online profile and fee for the cannabis products were not overly expensive. I took my first trip to a legal cannabis dispensary and was so excited. I would choose from cannabis oil, flower, concentrates, edibles and tinctures. I like vaping cannabis oil right before bed. I load up the cartridge in my vape, take a few puffs and instantly relax. I don’t care if I get high as a kite as long as I sleep through the night. However, I have a strain that is low in THC and high in CBD. I just feel super peaceful and mellow. I finally sleep for several hours at a stretch because I use medical marijuana. I wake up feeling rested and in a better mood. For the summertime up north, I need to stock up on my cannabis products.

Becoming an educated budtender

For years I coveted a job as a budtender at a local cannabis dispensary.

There are levels of budtenders.

If I just work at a small legal weed store, I would be no better than a cashier at a drugstore. No one is going to ask me for advice or recommendations and I wouldn’t be qualified to offer suggestions. I’d only earn minimum wage and not really be involved in the industry. The higher end marijuana dispensaries employ a large staff of budtenders who are required to undergo strenuous levels of education. The cannabis dispensary I wanted to work at highly recommended cannabis education before filling out the application. I took classes at a facility that is strictly geared toward cannabis education. I learned the ins and outs of both medical and recreational uses of cannabis. I learned all about the benefits and uses of CBD as well as THC. I also l came to understand the subtle but important differences between a sativa vs an indica. Once I applied at the cannabis dispensary, I was hired. I was required to go back for 2 more educational sessions. I needed more info about an actual cannabis dispensary and how it is arranged and operated. I also needed to practice the skills of cannabis sales. There is a way to properly approach consumers and determine what they want. That class was the most beneficial. I learned how to suggest a new cannabis option to a seasoned recreational cannabis user. I also learned how to consult with a brand new medical marijuana patient and guide them toward the right strain of cannabis. Most of the customers I deal with are medical marijuana patients. I am happy that I can help them fully benefit from the healing powers of cannabis.

Mother accepts legal weed to treat chemotherapy symptoms

My mother was completely against marijuana for a long time.

She constantly told me how it is a gateway drug and dangerous. She insisted that the country would fall to ruin if cannabis was ever legalized for recreational consumption. That changed when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago. She soon changed her opinion. Her doctor was the one who recommended she try medical marijuana to deal with the symptoms of chemotherapy. My mom was nervous and reluctant in the beginning. After visiting a medical marijuana dispensary, she felt more at ease. The medical marijuana dispensary was a surprise. It was a very professional atmosphere and the budtenders were knowledgeable and kind. They provided all the medical mairjuana info and answers that my mother needed to hear. My mom agreed to a tour of the facility. She learned about cannabis strains and THC content. She was told about concentrates, edibles, tinctures, edibles, vapes and even topicals. The budtender helped her find the right cannabis product for her symptoms. There was a debate over whether or not my mom was willing to smoke or not. Smoking offers a whole range of possibilities to choose from, including pre-rolls and vape pens. Without the assistance of the budtender, my mom would have walked out. Now my mom smokes legal weed and is a supporter of marijuana. She now believes recreational cannabis should be legalized in our state. She’s seen firsthand the benefits. She better understands the marijuana culture. My mother’s mindset has entirely changed. She is more open and accepting now. Marijuana just provided her too many benefits to ignore. She got through the chemotherapy because of the cannabis.
