My state has only voted to legalize medical marijuana so far.
I have been a recreational user for a long time.
I embrace the sensation of being high. I prefer to calm down at night and get a peaceful sleep for 8 hours. It has been frustrating finding a new source of weed everytime I move to a new town. Doing something illegal always makes me uncomfortable. Since my state permits legal medical weed, I decided to find out how hard that route would be for me. I figured on tons of paperwork, expense and doctor visits to achieve that goal. I assumed the only medical marijuana patients suffered from cancer, PTSD, glaucoma, Alzheimers, seizures and other major illnesses. I still pushed ahead and was hopeful I would finally get access to legal medical cannabis. Proceeding through the process, I learned that it is much easier than my original expectations. Finding a medical doctor to prescribe legal cannabis was no big deal. I simply tried a google search. I then needed to fill out a medical marijuana profile online. I included my various symptoms and needed to see the actual doctor in person. After my doctor’s appointment, I received a code for my account that gave me access to cannabis oil, tinctures, edibles and flowers. There was a small fee for the process involved. Other than that, the price was negligible. The details involved in getting medical cannabis were completed in a few days, and now I have access to legal cannabis. I can smoke, vape or try whatever consumption method and not feel like a criminal anymore.
