Medical marijuana may have helped my glaucoma.

I was diagnosed with glaucoma almost two years ago.

I was using eyedrops to lesson the pressure in the eye, but I was having a honorableamount of complications from the eye drops.

I had heard that smoking medical marijuana could help the glaucoma, but I didn’t know all the stats. I wanted to talk to my healthcare expert & see what she thought about marijuana helping with glaucoma. I was afraid it was going to interfere with the optic nerve, & after that I would be blind! My healthcare expert told me she had read a lot about using medical marijuana, & the primary complication was that I would need to smoke marijuana every three hours! She had heard where that could be almost as damaging to the lungs & body as smoking nicotine cigarettes. There was some talk about making eyedrops that were high in THC; but marijuana wasn’t water soluble. There was no way they had to do more research into how to make the medical marijuana eyedrops, but thus far, that had not worked. She then said there was some more recent research showing that medical marijuana may not just treat glaucoma by reducing eye pressure. It could also act on receptors & give protection against harm to the optic nerve; A lot of research still needed to be done, & at this time, she would not recommend medical marijuana in the treatment of glaucoma. I was ready to spend money the cost in getting the medical marijuana ID card. I wanted to get all the paraphernalia needed to smoke marijuana, & then the healthcare expert told me no.

Medical marijuana may have helped my glaucoma.

I wasn’t interested in high THC medical cannabis.

The first time I went to the medical marijuana dispensary, I told the budtender that I wasn’t interested in anything that was high in THC. The first thing the budtender showed me was a marijuana product that was 87% THC. I told him that wasn’t what I wanted. I wanted something that would help me sleep, but I didn’t think I needed a high THC profile. I was sure that if I got something that was high in CBD, my muscles would relax and I would be able to sleep better. He told me that CBD wouldn’t do as much as THC. When the young woman walked up to me, she asked what I was looking for. I showed her the paper the doctor had given me and asked if she had something that would help with the muscle spasms and help me sleep. I then added that I wanted a product that was high in CBD and low in THC. She said she had several products and went back to get something for me to try. She told me the cream had a high THC content, but it was to be rubbed into the areas that were cramping. I didn’t have pain, so the pain cream was out. She asked if I would be interested in a spray that was sprayed onto the affected area. I once again told her I wanted a CBD product that would help with muscle spasms. My body would slide into fetal position when I laid down, because the muscles tightened up so much. She went back and brought out a young man who gave me a 10:1 CBD/THC product that I have been using for almost two years now.

Buying marijuana

The local cannabis dispensary stopped carrying my CBD product.

I have been in search of my CBD products for almost six-months now. I had been using a medical marijuana products that is more than ten times the amount of CBD as there is THC; I had no feelings of euphoria, except those that came from the lack of pain. I was experiencing less pain, and enjoying life again. Fibromyalgia isn’t a disease that people can see. It is much like muscular back pain. You don’t look like you have a reason to be in pain, so some people assume you are faking it. When I was prescribed medical marijuana, the doctor told me to get a product that was mostly CBD. I found a product at the local medical marijuana dispensary and took it home. A week later, I was walking better, and I could sit for more than a minute before needing to move. My son asked what gives, because I wasn’t so mean. I told him it was because I was now using CBD. Then six months later, they discontinued the CBD product I was using. I was frantically searching every medical marijuana dispensary within fifty miles of my home, but none of them had the CBD product. I didn’t know what I was going to do. One medical marijuana dispensary manager told me about another product. I would need to be more careful with it. It had a bit less CBD, but it was still five times more CBD than THC. I bought the product, and I am now feeling better, but I need to use less or I get high.

I was lucky to have the doctor prescribe medical marijuana.

Many people don’t have doctors who are knowledgeable about medical marijuana.

Either they prefer the chemical drugs they give their patients, or they don’t know enough about marijuana.

If they were to do their research, I think more doctors would prescribe medical marijuana. I found that many hospitals that doctors work for, won’t give their doctors the ability to prescribe medical marijuana. I was lucky to have the doctor I went to, prescribe medical marijuana. He was associated with the hospital, but he wasn’t hospital doctor. He was a pain specialist who didn’t believe all pains required surgery or injections. He told me he was sure I would benefit from the use of marijuana. Medical marijuana could help reduce the inflammation that is causing the pain, and help relieve the pain while the inflammation is reducing. It works in many ways that it can make you feel more relaxed while other chemical properties will relieve pain and/or swelling. Marijuana plants have natural chemical properties work with the brain to treat the problem without causing more. CBD has the same chemical properties of THC, but there is no psychotropes involved. With the proper amounts of CBD and THC, the brains natural chemicals work with the natural chemicals of medical marijuana to help the body tell itself how to handle the myriad problems that may be taking place in the body. Once the doctor explained this to me, I was excited to see what medical marijuana could do for me. I didn’t want to take some drugs that were made in a laborator, when I could have natural plant-based medicine like medical marijuana.

Isn’t medical marijuana a natural plant product?

I was listening to television the other day and there were two doctors debating the use of medical marijuana.

The one doctor was talking about all the benefits of regular marijuana use. He said the only downside was when people used it only for fun. There can be an over-indulgence, and you had to know your limitations. The other doctor started yelling it was just a legal drug. Well, wasn’t alcohol a legal drug. The doctor prescribed painkillers after I had my car accident. For six months I was on these painkillers, and I spent the next six months being weaned off them. I had become dependent on the painkiller. It was a legal drug that did the same thing as the drugs you bought off the street. What I didn’t understand was that the doctor thought it was okay to give you a medicine that was made in a laboratory, but he didn’t want people to use a medicine that was a natural plant product. The doctor who was for medical marijuana chuckled. He told the other doctor that he had heard he was telling people that vegetarian and vegan lifestyles were healthy ways of living. He said that since he thought everything plant-based was healthier, then he should also be pushing medical marijuana instead of chemical based medicine. The doctor who was against medical marijuana became flustered and couldn’t talk. He couldn’t defend himself or the find the words to deny what the doctor for medical marijuana had just said. He walked off the stage and didn’t come back.

It embarrassed me to admit I used medical marijuana.

When the doctor asked if I used medical marijuana, I was embarrassed to admit it.

  • When he first asked, I wasn’t sure what he was getting at.

He made me feel like I was doing something wrong. I asked him if it mattered that I was using medical marijuana? He told me he needed to update my medical files, and part of that was the medicine I was taking. I told him I had been using medical marijuana for the past three years. He asked if I was using legal marijuana, and I told him yes. When he asked who the doctor was that prescribed medical marijuana, I refused to tell him. I knew who the doctor was, and he was sanctioned by our state, but I didn’t think it was my doctor’s business. He told me he had to know why I was using medical marijuana and if it helped. I still thought he was being nosey, but I told him it was for my rheumatoid arthritis. Before I started using medical marijuana, my rheumatologist told me I would be in a wheelchair by the time I was forty. I didn’t even know I had arthritis until she said that. I thought the aches and pains were because of the job I did eight hours a day, and taking care of three babies and a home. With the help of medical marijuana, I could keep moving, the pain was bearable, and I was in a better mind frame. I was probably the only patient he had, that used medical marijuana.

The nurse said medical cannabis is a natural product.

I was talking to a nurse the other day and I admitted that I used CBD cream for my arthritis pain.

  • She smiled and then looked up.

She told me she couldn’t understand the way the minds of politicians worked. Cannabis is a product of nature, and has less side effects than any man made drug they have, including aspirin. Millions of people had depression, arthritis, and other medical conditions that can be helped with the use of medical cannabis, but there is too much of a stigma placed on marijuana use. Some of that stigma is because doctors are afraid to tell patients about medical marijuana. They won’t get the kickbacks that doctors get from selling the pharmaceutical drugs. They can’t make as much money when people are medicating with natural substances. She told me she thought most addictions were from people who had no other recourse than to self medicate because they couldn’t afford big pharma prices. As expensive as medical marijuana was, it was still cheaper and much safer to use, than if you used chemical filled pharmaceutical drugs. I smiled as I listened to her talk, and then she apologized. She said she didn’t know my take on it, but since I used CBD and it seemed to help, she was proud of me. After explaining I was hesitant to tell anyone about my marijuana use, she told me I shouldn’t be.. It was all a part of the holistic health movement, and she was behind it 100%. I am no longer going to hesitate when telling people I use medical marijuana.

Medical cannabis can be beneficial for many people.

I wished it was much harder for people to get medical marijuana, but until they can disprove people don’t need it, the state will continue to sell it to anyone who can afford the medical marijuana ID card

I always thought that people used the medical marijuana card just to get marijuana legally. I know it isn’t the case for all people, but I am sure many people feel that way. They can legally go into a marijuana dispensary and purchase all the marijuana products they want as often as they want. It may be more expensive than purchasing street marijuana, but medical marijuana is legal. You pay a doctor to approve you for marijuana and pay the state for your medical marijuana ID card. It’s like getting a license to use marijuana. My brother was one of those people who used medical marijuana because it was legal to purchase and it was better. He told me there are so many ways for people to get the medical marijuana ID card, because it is beneficial for many different ailments. All he had to do was tell people he had PTSD and the doctor practically forced the medical marijuana ID at him. He told him he had a hard time sleeping ever since he was in Desert Storm. He had never truly served in Desert Storm, even though he was in the Marines at that time. I wished it was much harder for people to get medical marijuana, but until they can disprove people don’t need it, the state will continue to sell it to anyone who can afford the medical marijuana ID card. Last month, I heard one woman on the news who said her brother was getting medical marijuana to help with his addictions. She had cancer and was suffering because of the chemo, but she couldn’t get medical marijuana. I felt sorry for her.

I couldn't sleep before medical marijuana.

So far, I no longer wake up from bruises and my husband is sleeping much better

Before my husband discovered medical marijuana, I didn’t sleep well. He would kick so hard that my shins were always sore. The doctor told him he had restless leg syndrome, and he recommended different muscle relaxers for him. He has a job sensitive position which means he can’t use marijuana or alcoholic products for up to two weeks before doing a job. He was a 9-5, 8 hours a day mechanic for an airport. He couldn’t use those products. He was questioning his doctor if he could use straight CBD and still perform his job without getting fired for the use of medical marijuana. The doctor was unsure until he read all the laws that pertained to medical marijuana. He couldn’t use THC, but he could use CBD. He couldn’t use Delta 8 or Delta 9, because it had a fair amount of THC in it, but it wasn’t stated. With simple CBD, which he could purchase in any pharmacy, he would be okay. Whenever my husband goes to the doctor for his physicals now, he tells them he uses CBD that he gets from the pharmacy. The doctor told him he can say it is medical marijuana, but he must show the package he gets from the pharmacy, so the physician can read the label. So far, I no longer wake up from bruises and my husband is sleeping much better. Last week he got notice that he had to report to a new doctor. Once again, he is concerned over what will happen to his job when he tells them he takes medical marijuana and if they’ll tell him it doesn’t matter if it is just CBD. It is technically marijuana.

I’m trying to find the right person for the job

My boss and the regional manager of three different marijuana shops has been breathing down my neck to hire someone to fill the budtender position.

I have been doing my best to find the right person for that job.

I don’t want to hire someone that doesn’t have any experience at all, because the marijuana dispensary is busy all of the time. We are close to the interstate and we have the best deals on concentrates in the entire county. We offer free delivery services seven days a week. We have a cash back program that allows customers to save points that can be applied to their purchase later down the road. We constantly have people walking in and out of the shop. I need someone that can hit the ground running. I need a person that has a good amount of knowledge on marijuana products. I interviewed a couple of people last week and one of them was a good candidate. Unfortunately, the guy did not pass the background check. My boss gave me a list of people this morning in an email and she told me to interview each one of them this week. I called a couple of the people but they didn’t answer the phone. I have an interview with one of the other clients tomorrow. I know that my boss wants me to get someone to fill the position, but it’s going to take a lot more time if I hire someone that doesn’t know anything at all about medical and recreational marijuana sales and education.
