People finally have the right to smoke cannabis

It was only a few years ago when medical marijuana legalization was a pretty heated topic in our state… Even though several other states were already engaged in the legal medical cannabis trade, this more conservative state had not yet agreed that medical cannabis is not the same as recreational marijuana. In time, after years of being a topic that was in the legislative halls, medical marijuana was written into the state constitution as a right to this state’s citizens. Legislators, though, who likely were imagining the smoke-filled back rooms of their youth, were saying that smoking medical marijuana would not be allowed! They only approved other ways of ingestion. Then comes a famous and wealthy lawyer and so begins a lawsuit against the state. The lawyer and his medical professional who climbed on board his medical weed bandwagon was arguing that inhalation is an efficient and medically effective way to use medical marijuana. Therefore, the legislature overstepped its bounds and began making medical conclusions when they said that smoking medical cannabis would remain illegal. The legislature then made the choice they had simply one thing to say about smoking the weed. They insisted that it would not be allowed in public, just like smoking cigarettes. It seems like a relatively harmless thing to say, however they can be so foolish, in my personal opinion. Of course that allowed the lawyer to rightly argue a valid point that had not hitherto been brought up previously. If something is illegal in public, that means it is perfectly legal in private. Public intoxication is certainly a crime, however you can get drunk if you wish at home; see his point? Of course, he won, and now people in the state can use medical pot grown by any growers, can go to medical marijuana stores, and can smoke all the medical cannabis they can handle.
