A couple of months ago, I joined the community theater.
I like to sing and dance, but I really like to be in the background.
The director said he had the perfect part for me and it was the main role. He told me that I should try it out to see if I liked it. I memorized all of the lines very easily and I didn’t have any problem acting in front of the small community group. On opening night, my nerves were a mess. I had never performed in front of a huge audience of strangers and I was definitely feeling the anxiety. One of my fellow castmates told me that he had some alcohol in the car and he offered to give me some whiskey. I thought that might help out a little bit, so I went out to the car. When we got out there, he told me that he also had some marijuana edibles. He offered me a package of marijuana edibles and he told me to take one. I was unsure about the edibles, but it was such a small dose that I did not think it could hurt. I couldn’t remember a single one of my lines when we walked back into the building. I thought I was going to bomb the stage. Somehow I managed to get through the night. I didn’t miss a single line when I was out on the stage under the big lights. Marijuana gave me confidence that I never felt before. I wasn’t concerned about the audience at all. I was happy just to entertain myself.
