Last weekend, the weather was beautiful.
It has been very wet and raining a lot recently, but last weekend it was dry and the sun was shining. There were very few clouds in the sky and there was a light breeze. It was the perfect weather for hiking. My friends and I decided to go to the state park that is only about 15 minutes away from our apartment. The state park has lots of fun activities like mountain bike trails, hiking trails, rock climbing, and bird watching. The state park near me is one of the only parks in the whole country to have condor nests. Condors are one of the largest birds and they are going extinct. There are only a couple of places around the state where you can see these large and majestic birds. My friends and I took our binoculars and cameras in hopes of running into one of these large birds of prey. When we got to the state park on Saturday morning, none of my friends wanted to take the long trail that was nine miles. I thought that everyone was going to be filled with energy but my friends were all being lazy. I got some medical and recreational marijuana out of my bag and we all smoked a joint. The joint burned down quickly, but we were all high. After having Blue Dream recreational marijuana, my friends were a lot more energetic. We took the 9 mile trail around the base of the mountain. We didn’t see any large birds, but we got some great pictures of other wildlife.
