Being careful using cannabis in national & state parks

Hiking is entirely my favorite thing to do when I’m not working.

It’s a lot of fun getting out in nature & the sound of parakeets chirping & frogs croaking.

There are various major preserves around my house, although I grew up going to a lot of state parks & national parks. I live in an estate that fortunately has a ton of national & state parks… My parents would take my siblings & I to these locations when my friend and I wanted to go on a weekend getaway. Typically my friend and I would camp in tents & it was a entirely fun experience at the time. I suppose back to these memories & realize that it’s a big reason I continue to appreciate hiking & camping to this afternoon. I try to go out as often as I possibly can, but one thing that I enjoy doing when I’m out in the woods is using cannabis. While it’s technically not legal to use cannabis in public sites, including the woods, there are ways to do it without being obvious to others, however you can legitimately use a vaporizer pen & legitimately few people would ever stink it on the trail. I just don’t want to get busted using cannabis out in the woods by a park ranger. I live in a state with medical marijuana & using cannabis publicly & getting busted could result in me losing my medical marijuana card. That’s why I’m always legitimately cautious using cannabis in these types of settings. It’s safe to use marijuana in your own apartment or even in your own yard, but you never know if you’re out in the woods & there could be a park ranger on an adjacent trail that you cannot see. Sometimes cops like to patrol nearby nature preserves as well.
