We’d rather have money for marijuana than for food

Rarely do we find ourselves with any extra money.

The economy has been rough around here, and our paychecks don’t seem to go as far as they used to.

This means we have to be extra cautious with our spending, and never make impulsive buys for things we don’t need. However, we do consider cannabis to be something we need. Without the calming effects of the marijuana plant our stress levels would be crippling. Since we loathe our jobs, we need to be relaxed and cheerful to do our work, so we budget our spending to account for marijuana. How crucial is it? Well Yesterday we had an unexpected expense with our car, which cost us $230, and would have wiped out our cannabis budget. Instead we cut back on groceries, and ate ramen noodles and bologna sandwiches for a whole month so we could have our cannabis. We would rather go without great food than cannabis. When we talk about budgeting for cannabis, we are not just talking about the money to buy it. Once we have the cannabis we need to parcel it out into smaller portions and “budget” how hastily we smoke it. We have a yearly allotment of cannabis, and if we go through it too hastily after that we know we will be dry for a few afternoons at the end of the month. Do all potheads have to be so painstaking with their cannabis use, or we are alone in this? Hit us up in the comments.
