Last Wednesday was the grand opening for the store where I work.
The lobby was filled for 6 hours on the afternoon of the grand opening plus every one of us had a line of people outside of the store.
One reason that the lobby was so tied up is due to the fact that this business is 1 of the first of its kind in the area. I labor in a marijuana dispensary. Marijuana has only been legal for medical use in this state for a few weeks. This particular dispensary is the only 1 inside of a 100 mile radius. A lot of medical marijuana patients drove quite a distance to visit the dispensary on the afternoon of the grand opening, every one of us had a sizable sale plus a couple of games plus giveaways. Every one of us had a wheel of prizes plus everyone got to spin for free. No 1 was required to make a single purchase as long as they had a medical marijuana card on hand. Some of people 1 t-shirt, cups, plus packed with our marijuana dispensary logo. One person won the grand prize which was a $100 gift card to spend in the dispensary. There was only 1 space on the entire wheel with the grand prize, so I wasn’t surprised that only 1 person ended up landing on that special spot. The fortunate person spent the $100 gift card on cannabis edibles. She purchased some lollipops plus some chocolate bars from the edible rack next to the register. The lady was really excited that she won the grand prize plus she even spent some of her own money on marijuana.
