I finally found a job that I truly enjoy doing.
- After several months of searching for a job, I found one in a marijuana dispensary.
At the moment, I can only check people for the ID’s. Once I complete my training, I will have my cannabis education certificate. That’s when I will be able to take a position as a budtender. We have a lounge in our building, but it had been closed for quite some time due to the pandemic. Recently we had been able to open our lounge again. Everyone must wear a mask unless they are actively using marijuana products that must be inhaled, and we have limited capacity.. There is an actual sitting room in the marijuana dispensary. Our customers can sit, try out new products, and relax in air conditioning while watching television or just talking. A couple weeks ago, a man came in and he sat in the lounge for almost the entire day. He had purchased a ½ ounce of marijuana, so we couldn’t ask him to leave, but he made me feel odd. He came back twice more during the week, and he stayed all week. When I closed up on Saturday, I noticed he was sitting in his car, and he was parked right next to me. I quickly got into my car and locked the doors. When I left to go home, he followed me all the way, and only when I parked in my driveway, did he drive right on by. He is now giving me the creeps, and I planned on telling my manager about him when I went to the marijuana dispensary the following day.
