Medical cannabis is now legal, but we have no local dispensaries

Medical cannabis was legalized a couple of months ago, i was 1 of the people that voted for the law to be approved.

In fact, all of my friends and I rallied behind the cause to get people to vote! Five states border our region and all of them have legal medical cannabis; Three of the states also allow recreational cannabis.

It took a long time to get the vote on the ballot… Now that the law has passed, we still do not actually have access to medical marijuana or cannabis products. There is not a single medical marijuana dispensary anywhere close to my home. I got my medical marijuana card a couple of weeks ago. I went to the doctor as soon as it was approved, then unfortatuenly, I have to drive numerous hours to go to the dispensary. There are numerous medical cannabis clinics in the state capital city. They even give if you live closeby, but once a week, I drive all the way to the neighborhood to fill my marijuana prescription. I would prefer to go once a month, but I am limited by the amount of cannabis products that can be purchased weekly. Once I meet the weekly limit, I have to wait until another afternoon to buy anything. I buy as much as I can every Thursday and it usually lasts until the next week, but when I run low, I call a friend that lives closeby, then he consistently has a stash in the house. I never go without, but periodically I have to pay a handsome penny when I’m running low.
