Now that I was living in a state that had legal recreational cannabis, I was finding a whole new world opening up for me.
I had a medical marijuana card in the old state, but here I didn’t need the card.
My new friend was telling me how we could celebrate on April 20. She said that on 420 day, all the marijuana dispensaries opened their doors in celebration. They had special hours where marijuana distributors came in and gave away samples of their wares. Anyone who made a purchase was given a goodie bag. There were numerous marijuana dispensaries in our area, and she wanted to hit as many of them as humanly possible that day. Marie woke me up early that morning, and told me to get dressed. We stopped at the coffee shop and bought a coffee and a bagel. We stood in line for almost an hour while waiting to get into the marijuana shop. There were so many sales that I felt like a kid in a candy shop. Marie told me to take it easy, because we had all day. I bought a gram of live resin concentrate, so I could get my goodie bag. Throughout the day I had accumulated stickers, weed supplies, edibles, and other promotional items. Marie had a pink and white swirled glass bowl in her one bag. I got everything on my list of marijuana needs, and a lot of other things I hadn’t planned on buying, in my goodie bags. We had quite a marijuana haul that day.
