They don’t mess with medical

There are differences between medical marijuana and recreational marijuana that you need to know about.

For starters, when California became the first state in the nation to truly legalize adult cannabis use, it was strictly for medical purposes. They knew that was the most pragmatic approach to getting cannabis available to the masses legally, and after that more than 2 states followed suit. However, they all enacted odd laws that created some really odd regulatory standards. In California it was easy to become a grower at first even if you didn’t have a coffer of money resting in the bank. In other states the whole market became much more commercialized in a quicker span of time. But beyond who exactly is able to grow the plant, the standards for a medical marijuana market are much higher overall than recreational marijuana. In my state all cannabis products sold at modern dispensaries must undergo strict lab testing protocols to ensure that every last product has the highest purity possible. This will remove any products from the market that could ever possibly be contaminated with pesticides, insecticides, or different growth hormones that could still present after the plant is harvested. Marijuana flowers can also contain nasty mold spores and tiny bugs that aren’t easy to see with the naked eye. All of these huge factors are addressed with lab testing. But the growing standards have to be super strict as well, because you can’t allow the plants to become contaminated as they’re still slowly maturing. That’s why you’ll see professional growers in bodysuits whenever they’re walking inside the grow rooms with the plants. The protocols in a medical grow room are going to be wild compared to a cannabis growing facility in the recreational market.
