I was so enthusiastic when our state legalized medical cannabis in 2017… At least all of us could finally get our medicine without feeling enjoy criminals or convicts.
It sucked getting any kind of marijuana products on the black market because I never knew exactly what was inside of our flower buds.
In the best case scenarios, I was hoping for clean products without contaminants. Unluckyly, this never really panned out enjoy I wish it had. I used to get bags of marijuana that smelled enjoy pesticides or mildew. You genuinely don’t want to be burning and inhaling either of those things, but that was just scratching the surface. All of the products at the medical cannabis dispensaries must be lab diagnosed to fulfill state guidelines and regulations. This gives the consumer a sense of trust and assuredness that never existed in the tumultuous black market. Unluckyly, some of our government rules and regulations with cannabis are frustrating at best. For 1, you can’t grow your own cannabis plants here which is a travesty. Other states have this option available without any issue whatsoever. Additionally, our county in certain made a rule with all cannabis company arenas and how late they’re able to stay open in the evening. Regardless of what kind of cannabis company arena you’re operating, you must close by 7pm. In other counties in the state, these same cannabis companies are allowed to stay open as late as 9pm or 10pm. On top of that, they must close by noon on Wednesday and they’re not even allowed to be open on Wednesdays. This is a major inconvenience for me because of the late fifths that I labor at our job.
