The customers were fighting, but I was relaxed and calm

I am a very cool, calm, and collected person, especially in intense situations.

I worked at a restaurant when I was a kid and the place was robbed during my shift. I stayed calm and relaxed and I managed to call the police while the perpetrator was still in the store and they caught him coming out the back door. I tell that story often when I have job interviews. I feel very proud that I was calm in the face of danger. I started working at a cannabis shop six months ago and this weekend my calm reactions were tested again. A customer came into the dispensary to pick up an online order. The orders in the store were mixed up and we did not have the online marijuana order ready. The customer was angry and irate, just because we asked him to wait 5 minutes so we could pack everything up in a bag. We weren’t out of any of the items in his order and the wait was honestly just a few minutes. The guys started to get loud and upset and another customer decided to get involved. I politely asked the customer to stay out of it, but both men were angry and started yelling at each other. The security guard came over and broke up the fight, but I was calm and relaxed the entire time. My boss told me that I am just the type of material that the cannabis dispensary needs for a manager trainee. I would love to make this my career, so I look forward to a promotion and more responsibility.
