Are you a good samaritan? If you were walking down the street, minding your own business, and came across a woman’s purse in the grass, what would you do? Do you take the money and leave it, do you walk on by, or do you pick it up and try and return it to the owner? I have always thought that if I was in that situation I would be a decent human being and do the right thing. I had my chance to find out last week, when I was coming out of the cannabis dispensary. I saw a package laying near the curb in the parking lot, and it definitely wasn’t one of the parcels from the cannabis dispensary. This place wraps up everything a certain way, and is labeled with the logo of the cannabis dispensary, but this was just wrapped in foil. I opened it up, and saw that there were several bags of cannabis inside, of different varieties. I am an experienced pothead, and just with a visual inspection I could tell that this was over a half a pound of cannabis, worth several hundred dollars at least. It wasn’t labeled, no one was around, so there wasn’t anything stopping me from driving home and calling this cannabis mine. I didn’t do that, though, and instead took it inside the cannabis dispensary and gave it to one of the budtenders. The owner of the place pulled me aside and asked me a bunch of questions, and I found out that this cannabis had been stolen from the dispensary, and they thought I did it!
