Stoner comedies don’t represent true cannabis lovers

I have never enjoyed stoner comedies, and let me tell you why.

Movies like Half Baked, How High, and others glamorize marijuana use and play it for laughs, but they are also filled with idiotic characters.

The movies might be funny to others, but the way they present stoners as morons really rubs me the wrong way. It has very little connection to reality, in my estimation, because I know a lot of cannabis users, and none of them are morons. I smoke cannabis every single day, and I also work 50 hours a week as an architect, so please don’t tell me how stupid potheads are. After a long day of staring at blueprints and using AUTOCAD programs, enjoying a fat bowl of Purple Haze or Blue Dream is just enough to take the edge off and make me feel human again. The intense high of OG Kush will wipe the stress from my mind, and allow me to truly relax and enjoy my down time. As an added bonus, this high octane cannabis will allow me to get a good night’s sleep, instead of tossing and turning as my mind races. Cannabis is a medicine, one that enhances my life and keeps my stress levels low, so I hate seeing it portrayed poorly in movies. These movies help to put a stigma around cannabis use, which is part of the reason it was illegal for so many years. Cannabis should be fully legal for anyone who wants to use it, look at me I’m living proof it makes your life better.
