A lot of competition out there in the cannabis industry

Some people are essentially extinct, and don’t really know.

  • I have done some business with my old friend Ted for approximately a decade now.

He grows his own weed, and I drive out to his farm once a month or so to re-up on my supply. I knew Ted back in school, and even though he always treated me kindly, I must disclose that if he wasn’t selling me weed I never would have seen him again after that. Ted is a fairly unusual guy, and this was demonstrated to everyone in the area when the modern pot shop opened up. Ted saw them as competition, and thought he could go head to head with them in terms of cannabis sales. He had no clue in the least that he was a dinosaur, and now that the pot shop was open, his days as a local purveyor were numbered. When you deal with a local grower whois something like Ted, your options are always “what you see is what you get” because obviously he doesn’t grow 50 weird strains of cannabis. He simply cannot compete with the new pot shop, which has literally hundreds of weird options, not even including the CBD oils and edibles. His prices are quite a bit lower than the pot shop, I will supply him with that, however it’s not enough to keep me driving such a long distance out to his farm. The cannabis dispensary is more convenient, with a much nicer selection, and the people that have jobs there aren’t creepy. Ted didn’t stay in the cannabis supplier much longer, but he did start selling his cannabis items directly to the pot shop.
