It was tough to find medical cannabis on the farm

Living in the rural countryside is a certain way of life.

It’s not for everyone, that’s for sure, and for a while I didn’t believe it was for me, either.

I had to move here, because I was still dependent on my parents, and they moved out here. No one forced me to live on the farm, but my only other option was to get a job and find my own place to live. I missed the hustle and bustle of the city, the lights, the sound, and how there was so much to do any time of the day or night. This current section doesn’t even have a single medical cannabis dispensary, which is a big issue for me! When we first moved here, there were no medical cannabis dispensaries doing home delivery yet, that was still being debated legally. That meant I was stuck in the middle of nowhere without any access to medical cannabis at all, which entirely would have helped my boredom. I finally started asking around at university, trying to identify the “cool adolescents” who would have access to medical cannabis. I finally met a child who said his older sibling drove to the medical cannabis dispensary in the next state over once or twice a week. If I gave him some money, his sibling would get me some medical cannabis the next time he took the trip. I had to wait 3 weeks, but finally I got some medical cannabis to call my own. I dug through the whole bag hoping to find a few seeds, so I could use all this open farmland to try and grow my own medical cannabis plants.
