I learned that the cannabis product menus change every single day

Now that the program has evolved and there are about 20 different statewide cannabis companies operating seed to sale, most of the cannabis dispensaries have cannabis product menus that are changing as frequently as every single day

When I was buying cannabis on the black market in my early 20s, I would be lucky if my dealers had more than one strain of marijuana within a single month or longer. Sometimes a dealer would purchase a quarter pound of one single strain and would sell all of it slowly before buying a different strain. I used to fantasize about walking into a legal cannabis dispensary and seeing all of the options laying out before me. We would buy issues of High Times Magazine and pass among each other when we’d get together as a friend group to smoke weed in between classes in undergraduate school. I remember how I felt looking at those photos and images back then and wondering what it was like being a medical cannabis patient out west. Thankfully that day came a lot sooner than I originally expected. Within two years of graduating from school, my state joined the others in legalizing cannabis for medical use. While it took a number of years for more than a handful of cannabis dispensaries to open, it was still an amazing feeling to step inside a marijuana store for the first time when I first got my medical marijuana card back in late 2017. Now that the program has evolved and there are about 20 different statewide cannabis companies operating seed to sale, most of the cannabis dispensaries have cannabis product menus that are changing as frequently as every single day. But if you arrive in the afternoon, sometimes you’ll be treated to products that are arriving from the central location for the evening crowd.
