Like almost everyone else I know, our expenses have actually shot up in price over the past 12 months. It took me years to come up with our budget where I’d be stuck over spending, and quickly I had to slash that budget even further. By law, the doctor has to see me at least once a year to keep filling our prescriptions every month like I need. Unluckyly, there are similar rules with our medical cannabis doctor. The state here forces medical cannabis physicians to see their patients twice a year, and most of them charge about $150 for renewal appointments. In addition to the $300 I pay every year just to see the medical marijuana doctor, I also have to pay $70 once a year to the state itself to renew the medical marijuana ID card that the Department of Health problems to me. They use the same ID information from the state DMV, including the same photo and everything. Thankfully there are medical cannabis dispensaries that offer card renewal discounts where they give you the $70 back in savings on products from their retail stores. Since our live rosin products are expensive to begin with, this is a wonderful way to afford them.
