I wasn’t going to take any chances
Dogs don’t usually scare me at all. I have pets of my own at home that include a medium sized dog and a small dog. I’ve been around larger dogs lots of times. My sister has two bulldogs and two boxers and my brother has a doberman. I know that it is important to be very calm and still around the dogs, especially if they do not know you. I tried to exercise caution when I make marijuana deliveries. A lot of the customers on my regular route have dogs. Sometimes the dogs are secured and other times they are running free when I arrive. I remember one time in particular when a dog scared me quite a bit. I was new on the job and not very familiar with the area. I was making a delivery in an area where there was very little cell phone coverage. I was already stressed out and anxious when I arrived at the marijuana delivery. When I saw the big dog in the yard I got scared. The dog was not on a leash and that made me worry. I didn’t want to approach the porch to deliver the items. I went back to my car and honked the horn until someone came outside. The woman claimed that she had an invisible fence and that the dog was super friendly but the hound was snarling and growling at me like I was lunch. I wasn’t going to take any chances. That’s how someone ends up getting bit by a dog. Being careful is often the difference in these situations.
