The woman behind the counter still questioned me about my age.
I’ve constantly looked actually young for my age. When I was old enough to buy R rated movies, I got carded all of the time. Sometimes people did not even think that I was old enough to buy cigars at the gas station. I had the same issue when I turned 21. I got asked for my identification card everywhere that I went where alcohol was used. When marijuana was legalized for recreational use, I got carded at the dispensary too. I did not have to assume too bad, because most people going into the dispensary have to present an identification card. I have had a couple of people question the authenticity of my identification card. Four weeks ago was the first time in a while. I went to a current dispensary downtown. My friends plus I were hanging out at the skate park plus I wanted to buy a couple of pre-rolls for the day. The people I was with and I went to a dispensary close to the mall. The dispensary was pretty busy for a Monday. I showed my ID to the security cop out front. He did not question it at all. Inside of the dispensary, another person scanned the ID to make sure that it was legal. My ID was scanned plus of course there were no orange flags. The woman behind the counter still questioned me about my age. I was in a bad mood that day plus I yelled at the woman. She apologized and told me that they cannot be too sure. It seems like a load of crap to me. If my identification card is showing correct, then clearly I am the age that I am claiming! Just let me in the door so I can buy marijuana products like most people else over 21.
