In my memories, my grandma will always be a bright and cheerful home-maker, a woman who loved taking care of her family above all else. The truth is that after my grandpa passed away, grandma became a very different person. She had no more children to look after, no husband to tend to, and no home of her own. She moved into a small condo near the beach and started having an active social life. Based on how much she went out at night, and how much medical cannabis she smoked, it felt like grandma was being a teenager again. I hope that didn’t sound judgmental at all, because I have been a long-time supporter of medical cannabis. I voted for it several times, until finally last year medical cannabis was finally made legal in this state. I don’t have a prescription for legal medical marijuana, so I keep buying it illegally like I always have. When recreational pot is legalized like medical cannabis has been then I will be a happy man. For now I am stoked for my grandma, because medical cannabis products have done her a world of good. I said she seems like a different person, but she is an awesome person! I swing by her place once or twice a week to smoke medical cannabis with her and talk about the old days. Grandma is also very generous with her medical cannabis, and often sends me home with a “doggy bag” of food and weed to get me through the week. I am so lucky to have her.
