Medical cannabis has finally been legalized in my state, and I couldn’t be happier.
It sounds ridiculous to write it down like this, but for years I had to sneak around and break the law in order to get the medicine I needed.
This isn’t some far-off country or some point in the archaic past, this is America, right now. Isn’t it ridiculous that in one of the most advanced countries in the world, I still had to break the law to get medicine? Those days are behind us, because medical cannabis is now legal and I don’t have to feel like a criminal anymore. The reason it took so long was a lack of cannabis education in this country. The government intentionally hid all the science that showed the benefits of medical cannabis, even as they ignored the dangers of tobacco. When enough people started to do their own research, then cannabis education started to spread in this country. People learned how medical cannabis could help people. It’s also a safe and fun way to have fun, because as much as I want medical cannabis to help people I also want to get stoned! Since we are allowed to get drunk from legal alcohol, why can’t we get stoned from legal medical marijuana? Now the law has finally been changed, and I hear that the President is going to dismiss all federal charges against people for medical cannabis possession. It’s not much, but it’s a start. Soon both recreational and medical cannabis use will be 100% legal all across the country.
