Why won’t this state legalize cannabis?

I had the most wonderful dream the other night. In it I was going to the local pharmacy, which is just up the road from my house. In the dream the pharmacy was enormous, and the aisles went as far as my eye could see. The best part of all was that the pharmacy was totally stocked with hundreds of different kinds of medical cannabis. The aisles turned into hedge rows, each one a marijuana strain of a different exotic color and odor. I was devastated when I woke up and realized it was all just a dream. Around here medical cannabis is still not legal, despite all the science behind it and a change in public opinion. I don’t know anyone who personally opposes the use of medical marijuana, so I have no idea why the laws haven’t been changed yet. One of my friends makes the drive to the next state once every weekend, just to load up on medical cannabis products for himself and his family. Medical cannabis has been proven to offer many health benefits, but I suppose knowledge of those benefits is still not very common. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have safe and legal access to a medical cannabis dispensary, especially now that they are open in so many other states. I like my house, I don’t want to move somewhere else just because they have legalized medical marijuana, but I will if I have to! Life is too short to suffer, and medical cannabis helps to reduce my suffering.
