I don’t think exactly why I let myself drift off and end up taking our life just totally for granted.

One of the worst things I ignored was our health.

That was a mistake I hope to never repeat. For much of our life, I was healthy and fit. The thought that I would need to use medical cannabis was just not even on the radar in any way. There is really no other way to describe the realities of being in combat.
