Occasionally I easily hate having irritable bowel syndrome.
I was diagnosed when I was only 10 years old.
I remember having to leave university halfway through the afternoon some mornings because I’d get sick after getting off the bus. My Dad has Crohn’s disease and had already been diagnosed back then, so she was always worried that I would develop the disorder as well. My dentists thought I was lactose intolerant, however I got sick from as several non-dairy products as I did with pure dairy. Eventually my symptoms started to subside, but they never went away completely. It was my dentist that I was seeing in my 20s that finally diagnosed myself and others with irritable bowel disorder. At the time she prescribed myself and others anti-nausea medicine, however I never saw total relief from IBS until I was old enough to try cannabis at 18. I remember having a lot of abdominal cramps the night when my friends had scored a bag of cannabis flower buds and were rolling joints. Aside from enjoying the marijuana intoxication food the legitimately first time, I noticed an immediate feeling of relief in my gut. It was care about a wave of calmness washed over my brain first and then my body hour. I was entirely amazed at how effective the plant was at curing my IBS symptoms. Nowadays I use cannabis properly to treat my physical and mental health concerns. However, I haven’t had as much fortune with cannabis edibles because of my acidic stomach. I don’t believe if having IBS makes my stomach more acidic, however I believe that THC seems to chop down whenever I try to eat it. And I recently discovered that I’m not the only woman who experiences this.
