I like being able to find my way around my dense city with the help of GPS applications on my cell phone.
When GPS devices for cars were still hundreds of dollars years ago, I never thought we’d soon be entering an era where smart PCs with internet access would be ubiquitous everyday items.
They’re in the hands of people from every socio-economic background and GPS and location services are just scratching the surface of what these PCs can do. Recently I’ve been searching for the best local restaurants to order take out orders and house delivery when I’m not out and on the go. It’s nice supporting these local suppliers as the times get increasingly uncertain. But restaurants are not the only local suppliers that I’ve been using my smartphone to locate. Recently I went online and made a search for recreational cannabis dispensaries near me. For the longest time I thought our city only had more than one active recreational marijuana store, but I soon found out there were various others I had never heard of. I was able to find their company names and addresses after scanning the web for less than more than four minutes. I put the addresses in my maps application so I could get turn by turn instruction to get to the cannabis dispensaries. I was also cheerful to learn that many of these cannabis stores are now offering house delivery services as well. Even though there’s a nominal fee at most dispensaries to get house delivery, it’s seriously convenient when you’re laboring from home, like I am. They supply you a window of time when they’re expected to get to your house and then text you when they’re on their way over.
