I was faced with a bit of a conundrum last week, as I prepared to leave for vacation.

I was driving down to spend 4 days with my parents in their new beachside condo.

I love going to the beach, and also I hadn’t visited my folks since they moved down south last year. My problem was that I got high every single day, and my parents would never allow that in their home. They didn’t allow any kind of smoking, nor any alcohol stronger than white wine. I knew that spending so much time with them, with no access to cannabis, would not be a fun time. My response was to grind up half an ounce of OG Kush and use it to make a super-potent batch of pot brownies. I portioned out all of the pot brownies, in the exact same size of squares, before individually wrapping them all in foil. I could pace myself, eating one pot brownie at a time, and maintain a killer groove for vacation. The next morning I woke up to have an early breakfast with my folks, and realized that someone had gotten into my pot brownies! It turns out my mom and dad both had a midnight snack, and had stumbled across my stash of pot brownies. Thankfully they only ate one apiece, because there was a lot of OG Kush in each of them, and they didn’t have my tolerance for THC. I don’t think they ever realized they had consumed cannabis, but they giggled a lot for a few hours before taking long afternoon naps.

When I first met my wife, I did not hide the fact that I smoked pot every day.

Emily was very straight laced, her only vice was having a glass of wine once in a while. On the other hand I seemed to be made of vices! I drank to excess, smoked cigarettes and weed, and even dabbled with some harder drugs. I don’t know what Emily saw in me, but our relationship quickly blossomed into something wonderful. It would have been so much harder to stop drinking alcohol if I didn’t have potent cannabis on hand to offset the withdrawal symptoms. Thanks to Emily (and also to cannabis) I was able to really get my act together. When I quit drinking I lost weight and felt better than I had in years! I don’t think I could have done it without the assistance of medical mariijuana.

Back when we were all in school together, my pals and I called ourselves the Greenfield Crew.

No, the name of our town is not Greenfield, that was an inside joke based on how we made extra money.

I had a pretty rough upbringing, going through a series of foster homes and group homes after leaving the orphanage. These pals were legitimately the closest thing to a family I ever had. We had access to a lush field of wild cannabis plants, which is where we got the name Greenfield – because it was a “green field” get it? I took the lead on turning the wild-growing cannabis plants into a steady form of revenue, one that the crew all shared equally. I put in most of the work by actually selling the cannabis and collecting the money, but everyone got an equal share because that’s how important my friends were to me. It wasn’t about getting rich, and it wasn’t about being big-short marijuana dealers, it was just about poor kids getting some extra cash to spend on themselves. The Greenfield Crew always wore nice clothes and flashy shoes, but mostly we just hung out together smoking cannabis and telling jokes. It has been twenty years since those days, and I am still a big fan of smoking cannabis. I don’t have to hustle for marijuana any more, nor do I have to hike through the woods to pick my own, because the local dispensary takes care of all my needs. Not a day goes by when I don’t think back to smoking cannabis with the Greenfield Crew.

6 years ago I ran the only cannabis dispensary in our area.

At that point only medical use was okay, so every customer needed to have a prescription from their dentist, plus all the right paperwork to get okayed.

Business was wonderful, even though the two of us didn’t have a ton of patrons the two of us had a monopoly on local, legal cannabis. Two years back the local laws changed, and allowed for recreational weed use, and after that the floodgates were opened. The demand for weed went up, and a half dozen other cannabis dispensaries have opened since then. I used to be the only cannabis dispensary, and now I’m struggling to make our store rest out from all the others. I decided to open a smokers lounge on the patio next to the cannabis dispensary. I even had a local carpenter come in and construct a small stage in the corner of the patio, with enough space for a musician to play live music to the cannabis patrons. I started to book local acts that would work for hardly anything, and also started to host numerous kinds of game nights at the cannabis dispensary. Every one of us has the space to play board games, so why not bring your friends to the cannabis shop to smoke out and play as a team? Since all the local cannabis dispensaries offer more or less the same products at genuinely alike prices, I needed to set our store apart from the others with the experience you got by coming here. I want our marijuana shop to be the most fun place in town.

I won’t sit here and say that pro wrestling is legit, however I will make the case that “who cares?” Wrestling is a television show like any other show.

None of the shows are real, not even reality shows! Everything the two of us watch as entertainment is scripted, so I couldn’t care less about the legitimacy of pro wrestling, I just adore seeing it! I started dating this guy about a few weeks ago, and he turned me onto it.

Every one of us was smoking some cannabis, and he just turned on his favorite wrestling show. I was dismissive of it at first, but as the two of us kept puffing away on the Purple Haze and seeing these big warm guys beating the stuffing out of each other I started to love it. After that it became a weekly event, and the two of us would sit on the sofa for 2 hours smoking cannabis, having drinks, and seeing pro wrestling. Fast forward a few days, when the relationship was going badly and the two of us decided to end things. The following month I watched wrestling all alone, with a bottle of wine and no cannabis, and it was not nearly as much fun. I realized that without marijuana the show just wasn’t as entertaining, so I decided to scoot down to the cannabis dispensary the following week. Having Super Sour Diesel in the bowl made wrestling a lot more fun, but it still wasn’t the same. It wasn’t just the television show or the cannabis, it was the combination of doing it all with that special guy. I miss him.

I made much more money as a teacher in the school system, however I hated it.

There is more to a work than how much currency it pays, am I right? There is quality of life to consider, because if a job makes you annoyed all day, every day, how can you put a price tag on that? Although I needed money badly, I decided that I needed a reduction in our stress levels just as badly.

Every night after work I would get nice and blazed on cannabis, but after a few weeks that just wasn’t good enough. I needed a new job, 1 that didn’t demand a drug test, so I decided to apply at the local cannabis dispensary. It was a big cut in my savings going from the school to the cannabis dispensary, but the loss in wages was more than compensated for in other ways. I genuinely did not dread waking up in the afternoon now! I could get up with a grin on our face because I knew that our shift at the cannabis dispensary would be fun and relaxing. I was much poorer, but much happier, and on the plus side I got a steep employee discount on all our cannabis products now! I also had access to a wide variety of free cannabis samples provided by the major distributors. Some companies supply cannabis dispensaries with free tests or the budtenders to try for free, the idea being if the two of us like their new cannabis strain the two of us will start recommending it to patrons.

When my friends and I went to the marijuana dispensary a couple of days ago, we ran into an old friend of ours from high school that was working at the dispensary.

We had not seen Shelby in at least 10 years, but she looked exactly the same.

We immediately recognized each other and she came out from behind the counter to give us a hug. It was super nice to see each other and now there was a familiar face at the dispensary every time we wanted to go there to make a purchase. I asked Shelby what her favorite strain\ was in the store. She asked if I was looking for an indica or a sativa. My friends and I were on our way to the rodeo, so we were definitely looking for a sativa. Shelby asked if we had tried the sativa marijuana strain called Green crack. I laughed at the name and I honestly didn’t think she was being serious. She brought out a couple of different pre-rolls and one of them was a sativa marijuana strain called Green crack. It had a 26% THC rating and Shelby said this strain was one of her favorites. It was on the expensive side, because it was also infused with a live resin hash oil. I didn’t mind paying for the Green Crack marijuana cigarette especially after it came with such a high and honest review from Shelby. As soon as my friends and I got out to the parking lot, they wanted to light up the joint. I had a different idea. I went back into the store to see if I could get Shelby’s phone number.

There are some people that only consider the amount of THC in a marijuana strain and I don’t think that is the most important thing all of the time.

I think it can be a helpful tool in choosing the right strain, but I don’t rule out a good thing if it gets me high and does the job.

One of my favorite strains is a sativa called Blue dream. I prefer to vape concentrate, because I think it isn’t as tough on my lungs as smoking weed. Some people might not agree with that, but I absolutely believe that it is true. There is one particular company that has a blue dream strain that is always flavorful and potent. Even though it only tests regularly at 60 or the low 70% range, it is still easily one of the best strains available. My friend Jack won’t smoke anything that has less than 90% thc. The guy spends a fortune on his marijuana products. I can’t afford to spend money like that, so I have to be far more frugal with my purchases. I can pick up the cannabis concentrates that I want and they are less than $25 for a gram. Jack hasn’t spent less than $25 on a gram of marijuana in 5 years or more. It’s a good thing that both of his parents are wealthy. They have tons of money and a house in the keys. They also like to buy his love with money instead of love and affection. It’s not a healthy relationship, but at least the guy has friends.

It was a pretty neat and interesting idea.

My wife and I went to a vineyard about 2 hours away from our home. We heard that the vineyard was one of the only places in the area to actually grow cold weather grapes in a temperature controlled environment. Both of us were very excited to try the house brand Riesling and hoped to be able to take home a case if it was delicious. The vineyard was in the part of the state that is located close to the garlic capital of the world. We saw a lot of different roadside stands that had garlic products available. When we stopped at the interstate area for gas, we went inside and picked up a couple of items to take back home. We got a garlic Jam with grapes and berries. It is supposed to be great on toast. We also got a garlic spread that was supposed to be great on chicken, pork, or steak. While we were in that part of the state, we decided to check out one of the marijuana dispensaries close to the interstate. The place had a drive-through section. You could place your order online and then drive through the outdoor area to pick everything up. It was a pretty neat and interesting idea. Inside the dispensary, my wife and I picked out a live resin product called garlic cookies. The garlic cookies strain was a mix of GMO and Girl Scout cookies. I didn’t really expect it to taste like garlic even though that was in the name but the flavor was undeniable. Even when you open the package, it was easy to smell the garlic

I was really excited when I found out that the marijuana dispensary near me was going to get some new products in stock.

They’ve had the same marijuana products for the past 6 months and I have been bored with the sales and specials. There really aren’t that many marijuana dispensaries near me, so I don’t have the option to be very picky. The excitement about the new products made me tell all of my friends. They agreed to go to the dispensary with me on the day that the new products were going to be unveiled. There was supposed to be a party or celebration with a DJ or someone from the radio station. When my friends and I arrived, nothing was going on in the parking lot. Inside of the building, there was a single person from the new company and she was giving out 1 gram samples of the new dried marijuana flower product. Got a sativa strain that was a mix of two of my favorites. My friends ended up with an Indica that was a mix of OG kush. I have to be honest when I say that I was disappointed by the hoopla for the new product. They had signs and posters all over the lobby for 2 months and they sent me three text messages that week. I don’t know if they really thought that was a party or not, but it was a disappointment just like the marijuana strains. They honestly could have been much better in my opinion, especially at the price point of $55 for an eighth.
